Stanage Edge

A watercolour painting of Stanage edge

I've painted Stanage and some of the other edges in the Peak District many times,
and I honestly don't tire of doing it. They are endlessly fascinating because the light
and weather conditions vary so much making it into a new experience every time.
This is an example of my favourite Burnt Siena* and Ultramarine combination.
*Sometimes written as 'Sienna', the Italian town whose hills are the source of this pigment is 'Siena'.
